On May 24th, the 2024 ‘The Belt and Road’ Youth Sports Exchange Week kicked off in Suqian Jiangsu, the hometown of Xiang Yu.

Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau Party Secretary and Director Mr. Chen Shaojun, Suqian City Vice Mayor Ms. Wu Qian, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education Second-Level Inspector Ms. Zhou Yajun, Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office Second-Level Inspector Mr. Ding Xianzhong, Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau Second-Level Inspector Mr. Fan Jinhua, as well as leaders from the National Sports Bureau's Foreign Sports Exchange Center, Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other relevant units attended the launch ceremony.

Ms. Wu Qian delivered the welcome speech, Mr. Fan Jinhua gave the opening address, and Laotian Consul General in Shanghai, Viengthong Xiengkham, delivered a video address.Thirteen international students from Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Laos, and other countries were invited to participate from our school.

The theme of this exchange week is 'Blooming Youth Beauty, Tying Jiangsu Affection'. It will be held in Suqian from May 24th to June 3rd, during which a series of youth sports and cultural exchange activities will be carried out, including the 2024 'The Belt and Road' International Youth Men's 3x3 Basketball Invitational, the 'The Belt and Road' Youth Outdoor Sports Challenge, and the 'The Belt and Road' International Youth Orienteering Training Camp.

Through this exchange week, we fully display the youthful vitality and charm of young friends from both China and abroad, allowing them to experience the charm of Jiangsu with its water features and the relaxed atmosphere of the lakeside. Let the young friends feel the beautiful scenery of Suqian's Luoma Lake through sports and cultural exchanges, taste the charm of the forest sea in Santai Mountain, appreciate the cultural heritage of ancient Chu in Suqian, and use sports as a bridge to better understand Suqian, Jiangsu, and China. Tell the Chinese story and spread the Chinese voice.
