I.Introduction to Suqian

Suqian, situated in northern part of Jiangsu Province, was approved to be a prefecture-level city in July 1996. Covering 8,524 square kilometers with a population of 5.85 million, it is renowned for producing fine liquor, breeding aquatic products, planting flowering plants and poplar trees.It boasts “three honorary titles”— The Hometown of Overlord Xiangyu, the Wine Capital of China and the City of Water.

Steeped in history and cultural heritage, Suqian boasts a harmonious blend of natural beauty and urban vitality. Nestled between Hongze Lake and Luoma Lake, and traversed by the Grand Canal and the ancient Yellow River, it stands as China’s only prefecture-level city with the distinct "Two Lakes, Two Rivers" geography. II.Introduction to Suqian University

Suqian University (SQU), located in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, was founded in 2002. It is a comprehensive provincial public university.

The university offers nine major disciplines: engineering, literature, science, art, education, management, economics, law, and agriculture. It provides 53 undergraduate programs and enrolls over 17,000 full-time students.

V.Scholarships and Financial Support

1.Scholarship from the University President for International Students:Admitted studentsmay apply for this scholarship, which offers an annual award of CNY 14,500.

2.Scholarship for Outstanding International Students:Admitted students may apply for this scholarship after enrollment, receiving a monthly award of CNY 600 to 1,000.

3.On-campus Work-Study Positions:Students may apply for on-campus work-study positions. Eligible students will receive an annual stipend of CNY 1,000 to 2,000 based on their performance.

Notes

① Students transferring to another institution for personal reasons shall reimburse all scholarships and grants awarded during their enrollment.

② Students who withdraw from the university for personal reasons shall forfeit eligibility for all scholarships and are required to repay any funds disbursed under the ‘Scholarship for Outstanding International Students’ program in the month of withdrawal.

VI.Application Requirements

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and hold valid passports. The original residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan must have held a valid foreign passport or proof of nationality for 4 years or more. They must provide proof of actual residence abroad totaling at least two years within the four-year period preceding August 31 of the enrollment year. Residence of nine months or more in a calendar year is counted as one full year, verified by passport entry/exit stamps.

2.Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, possess good moral character, and have no criminal record.

3.Applicants must have completed high school and hold a high school diploma by August 31 of the intended enrollment year.

4.Applicants must demonstrate Chinese language proficiency at HSK Level 4 or equivalent (e.g., through standardized tests or prior education).

5.Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 at the time of enrollment.

VII.Required Documents for Application

3.Scanned copies of the highest degree/diploma certificate and original official transcripts bearing the official seal of the issuing institution.Documents in other languages except Chinese and English are required to be translated into Chinese and English and notarized.

4.Valid HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) score report issued within the past two years.

5.Foreigner Physical Examination Record (valid for 6 months). The examination must strictly comply with all items specified in the form. Incomplete forms, missing photos, photos without an overlapping security stamp, or lacking signatures/stamps from both the physician and hospital will be rejected.

6.Disciplinary Clearance Certificate issued by the applicant’s previous educational institution.

7.Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) issued within the past 6 months.Documents in other languages except Chinese and English are required to be translated into Chinese and English and notarized.

8.Two recent passport-style photographs (35mm×48mm, white background).

9.Personal resume (CV) and notarized copies of awards/certificates, if applicable.

10.A self-introduction video for 2 to 3 minutesin Mandarin Chinese (MP4 format, clear audio/video quality).

11.Proof of Financial Capacity (e.g., original bank deposit certificate showing a minimum balance ofCNY10,000 for one academic year).

12.The University may request additional documents at its discretion.

VIII.Application Procedure

1.Find the 'Admission Application' link on the homepage of Suqian University International Student Admission & Education Information Portal (Website:https://isae.squ.edu.cn/), and complete the 'Application Form for International Students of Suqian University' online.

2.Submit required application documents to

admission@squ.edu.cn(Please use the applicant's Chinese name in Chinese characters as the email subject).

3.The University will conduct document review.

4.Attend the interview or written examination administered by Suqian University.

5.Await the official admission decision.
