In order to inspire international students' enthusiasm for learning Chinese, improve their Chinese writing skills, deepen their experience of Chinese culture, and feel the beauty of Chinese writing, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange will hold a calligraphy competition for international students in the cultural series of "Study Abroad, Experience China". Specific arrangements are as follows:
Candidates
All international students are welcome to participate.
Requirements
1.The competition includes two groups: hard-pen calligraphy and soft brush calligraphy. Each student can only join one group.
2.This competition is divided into preliminary round and final round. The preliminary round does not specify the content, and the final round specifies 8 Tang poems (see attachment). Calligraphy teachers will guide and train the participants before the competition.
3.The works should be legible, neat and standard. Students can have their own writing style.
4.Write the Chinese name and nationality of the participant at the bottom of the works.
5.No substitute writing is allowed in this competition. Once it is found, it will be disqualified.

Works appraisal and awards
1.The appraisal is carried out respectively in two groups: hard-pen calligraphy and soft brush calligraphy.
2.Based on the principle of fairness, justice and openness, the appraisal includes two parts: public appraisal and teacher appraisal. The awards will be issued according to the total scores of the two parts.
3.Each group has 2 first-prize winners, 3 second-prize winners, 5 third-prize winners and several participation-prize winners.
4.The award will be exhibited by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange.
